Assessment of participants ‘ institutional capacities to mainstream the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their work
The role and functions of Parliaments the world over have increased manifold. It has been assuming added responsibilities in response in response to the growing hopes and aspirations of the people.
Indian Parliament has constituted Parliamentary Forum on Millennum Development Goals under the Chairmanship of Speaker of People’s House ( Lok Sabha) 11 th Nov 2013. This is in addition to Forums water Conservation and Management (2009), on Children, youth, population and Public Health, – Disaster Management on 8 Dec 2011,Articians and Craftspeople ( on26 April 2013).
