it is an effort of Inter Parlimentarians to work together ( as on date 166 official Member Countries) every year as General Assembly and inbetween on different sittings by standing committees on various topics.
Today, General Assembly of 132 IPU is in Hanoi National Assembly, Vietnam. Two members from Indian Upper House Rajya Sabha and six Members of Parliament ( Lok Sabha) lead by Hoble Speaker Smt Smithra Mahajan is present .
